Numble Grid Rules:

  • Fill the grid: Use numbers from 1 up to the grid size (e.g., 1–4 for a 4×4 grid).
  • No repeats: Each number must appear exactly once in every row and column.
  • Cage constraints: A cage is a group of adjacent cells sharing the same color. Each cage has a target number and an operation symbol. The numbers in that cage must combine to reach the target:
    • Addition, Multiplication (+ x): The numbers add (multiply) up to the target.
    • Subtraction (− /): The difference (ratio) between the two numbers equals the target. Order can be reversed (e.g., a 3− cage can be (4, 1) or (1, 4)).
  • Single-cell cages: The number in the cell equals the target number.
  • Repetition rule: Numbers can repeat within a cage as long as they do not violate the row or column uniqueness rule.
