The Tournament


MathCup PI day tournament is an annual mathematics contest for elementary and middle school students, since 2018. The tournament will provide a challenging, engaging, and enjoyable experience in mathematics for students of all levels.

The tournament is a 20-question, 1 hour, fill-in-blank online exam for students between third and eighth grade; lower grades' kids are welcomed to try as well.

The exam runs between 03/13 and 03/14. Contestants can take the exam anytime during the period, in a one-hour sitting.

By registering, you acknowledge the following rules:

  • You must work on the problems strictly by yourself;
  • No calculators of any form are allowed during the test;
  • Finish the test within the time limit specified;
  • Decisions by MathCup are final;
  • MathCup can publish winners' usernames and other information online.

Rules for taking the tournament: (Read Carefully)

  • No calculators of any form are permitted for the test;
  • You must work on the problems by yourself;
  • Time limit of the test is 60 minutes. No time break is allowed;
  • Problems page displays the exam EndTime on the top;
  • Time starts when you click Start Exam button below;
  • All answers are integers;

The PI Day Tournament

The tournament is a 20-question, 1 hour, fill-in-blank online exam for students between third and eighth grade; lower grades' kids are welcomed to try as well.


The 2023 contest will run between 03/13 and 03/14. Contestants can take the exam any time during the period, in a one-hour sitting.
